Transactions on the floor of Nigerian Exchange sustained declining profile, shedding N426 billion as profit taking persist in the market.
Market capitalisation of listed equities declined by 1.59 per cent to N26.188 trillion from N26.614 trillion reported on Monday.
The NGX All Share Index also depreciated by 789.91 basis points to 48554.76 points from 49344.67 points reported the previous day.
Investors traded 204.153 million shares valued at N3.183 billion in 3533 deals against 122.935 million shares valued at N1.301 billion in 3915 deals.
A review of the investment during the day showed that NEM Insurance led gainers table during the day, gaining 10.0 per cent to N4.40, FTNCocoa followed with a gain of 10.00 per cent to N0.33, Honey Well Flour added 9.89 per cent to N2.89, UPL increased by 9.88 per cent to N1.89 while Mutual Benefits up by 7.41 per cent to N0.29.
On the contrary, BUAfoods topped losers chart during the day, shedding 9.92 per cent to N54.00, Northern Nigeria Floor Mills Nigeria Plc trailed with a drop of 9.88 per cent to N7.75, Seplat Energy fell by 8.44 per cent to N1300.00, Eterna Plc down by 8.34 per cent to N6.05 per cent, Nahco declined by 7.56 per cent to N5.50.
