The choice of Senator Kashim Shetima, as the vice presidential candidate of Senator Bola Ahmad Tinubu, has been described as a right decision in the right direction, for the overall progress of Nigeria.
The Bola Campaign Organisation (BCO), made the description in a statement while felicitating with Shetima.
The statement issued by South-West leader who doubles as the pioneer national patron of BCO, Alhaji Abdulwahab Quadiri Korede, said the choice wasn’t a surprise knowing the pedigree of Senator Shetima.
“Senator Shetima, having being found a person of timbre and caliber, a sincere leader, that have served the people of Borno, devoid of bias mind, will surely add more values in the governance of Nigeria,” the BCO said.
It added that Shetima’s qualifications as an economist, combines with his political experience, Nigerians and not Tinubu alone, would generally benefit.
“The wise choice of Senators Kashim Shetima did not surprise us, based on the fact that he has put in great efforts and values at ensuring that Senator Bola emerged victorious as presidential flag bearer of the APC.
“As we congratulate His Excellency on his emergence as vice presidential flag bearer, we equally appreciate our flag bearer, Senator Bola Tinubu, for painstakingly and widely consulting before arriving at this right decision for the overall progress of Nigeria,” the BCO said.
It called on all of its members across Nigeria to brace up, and commence work at ensuring victor.
“Now that the moving train of Bola/Shetima/APC, is fully on track, all members and supporters should commence work to coast home to victory,” it said.
